JMP Student Edition is a statistical software that is free for academic and research use. It is a 12-month licensure, and eligibility must be reviewed annually - whether you are a new user or an existing user. 

Clicking "Get JMP for Free" will either sign up a new user for JMP or start the renewal process for existing users. 

After completing the verification/eligibility process, you'll be taken to a "Download" page. It is optional to install the latest version of JMP, but at this point your JMP account has been renewed. You should now be able to open your currently installed JMP software, and it should recognize the new license. 

*Please note that multiple versions of JMP can be installed on the same machine. JMP recommends that you remove older versions before installing the latest version. 

How do I renew my JMP Student Edition license?

Licenses need to renewed annually. If you need to renew your license:

1. Sign in to your My JMP account. 
2. Tell JMP about yourself and your studies and agree to the terms of the JMP Academic License Agreement. 
3. Verify your academic status by selecting your university (New Mexico State University) and logging in.

If successful, your JMP Student Edition software will be available for another 12 months. You can confirm the new expiration date in your My JMP account view.
